SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 01/16- “My Soul And My Spirit Aches And Craves For You, Oh LORD, For Your Wise Judgements, Your Justice And Righteousness, Both At Night And At Dawn!” (Isaiah 26:9)
Premise Question: What is significant about the times, during the night watches or in the light of day, that one aches and craves for the presence of The LORD in their life?
My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. (Isaiah 26:9 NIV)
Oh that my soul would experience your divine presence upon the night watches, for I am in desperate need of You, Oh LORD! And when the morning finally arrives, my heart and spirit earnestly desires and longs for Your manifest presence. For Your righteousness, Oh LORD, can only be truly learned and experienced, when You bring Your just and wise judgements upon the earth and humankind. (Isaiah 26:9 PDCP)
Bottom Line: During the night, one can tend to think about all that has transpired during the day, replaying it over and over, again and again, in their mind, rehearsing every little detail of what happened, and what could have been done or said differently, not able to get resolve, relief or any restful sleep, but continues to toss and turn, being in great turmoil; while in the morning, one needs the courage and strength of The LORD, in order to face the new day, with the old challenges of yesterday and the uneasiness and trepidation of what the new day may proffer. All too often, though, the case seems to be, as if, one does not need the presence of The LORD in their life during the day, while it is still light, and therefore, may have the proverbial attitude of, “I’ve got this,” when in reality, truth be known, you don’t! And finally, it truly is the case, that the world at large, including all of humankind, will truly only know of Papa God’s righteousness through His just and wise judgements. Blessings…
