SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 10/18- “Trust Your Friends Rebuke—Don’t Ever Trust An Enemy’s Compliments!” (Proverbs 27:5-6)

Premise Question: Are we wise and mature enough to recognize and accept an open rebuke from a dear and close friend, when it’s for our own good and benefit; or are we so shallow, sensitive and thin skinned, that we live, yearn and thrive, only on the compliments of others, and even if and when it’s a detriment to our own well being, are we still willing and subject too, accepting the adulation and excessive compliments that come from an avowed enemy?

“An open rebuke is better than hidden love! Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.” (Proverbs‬ ‭27:5-6‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

When you truly love and approve of someone, it’s much more virtuous and acceptable to be open and transparent with them, by administering a firm, but gentle rebuke, when appropriate! Hurtful insults that causes anguish, distress and heartache, which results in producing heartbreak, actually are trustworthy, when they come from a close friend, who has your best interest and well being at heart. But, deceitful, excessive compliments, with expressions of feigned affections are nothing but lies, and especially so, when they come from an avowed enemy. (Proverbs 27:5-6 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Unfortunately, all too many of us receive our sense of self-worth and validation entirely from others; through the expressions and comments that are uttered with wonderful sounding platitudes and high praise!

Not that being complementary of others is all bad, per se, because we ought to give honor where honor is due, and we ought to build each other up, through encouraging and by refreshing one another.

But we also ought to be mature and grownup enough to be able to receive strong correction and appropriate discipline, when and where it is needed; administered in the form of a gentle, but firm, righteous rebuke from a loved and respected, highly regarded, brother or sister in The LORD!

That we should be loving, kind, generous, respectful and considerate of one another, should be quite obvious and entirely apparent to everyone! But it should also be just as obvious and apparent to everyone, that being open and transparent, authentic and real, with each other, is just as vitally critical, as it will truly, (by having this perspective and attitude, and then actually implementing and doing it) prove our love, compassion, kindness, generosity, respect and consideration for one another!

Dear LORD, help each and everyone of us to mature and grow up in such a way, that we will not be susceptible to being wooed, influenced or swayed, by the compliments of others, including our avowed enemies; but that we will be strong and courageous, standing firm in our faith—unmovable, always being open and ready to receive, with joy, an appropriate and open rebuke, accompanied by righteous correction!

Remember, receiving an appropriate open rebuke and righteous correction, really is for our own benefit, our greatest good and interest, as well as, our overall spiritual well being. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/17- “The LORD Disciplines His Own—Because He Loves Them!” (Proverbs 3:11-12)

Premise Question: Who of us really enjoys being disciplined, corrected, reprimanded and reproved; but, what would be the outcome if everyone that needed an appropriate rebuke, choose to truly, with joy, fully embrace the process, in an attitude of humility and complete submission?

“My child, don’t reject the LORD’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.” (‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

My dearly beloved precious child, decide right now to never refuse or ever reject The LORD GOD Almighty’s very deliberate and diligent, careful and loving, nurturing chastening of you. And, also choose to not ever become bitter or resentful of His faithful, considerate concern and resolute reproof of you; for it’s truly only done for your greatest good and benefit. Do always remember, that just like an earthly father will administer loving correction to his own children, that he delights in, so too, does Papa God only bring His merciful and loving correction upon those children whom He joyfully delights to lavish His gracious favor and unfailing love upon. (Proverbs 3:11-12 PDCP)

Bottom Line: One of the most difficult lessons, that everyone must learn, is the great value and tremendous blessings that loving, appropriate and consistent discipline brings and adds to a person’s life experience. Although it may seem quite difficult during the time the necessary correction is being administered, as it may be extremely hard to endure, once it has run its course, the wonderful, useful and greatly beneficial fruit that discipline produces in one’s life, is not only a benefit to the individual, but also to those they may come into contact with, and have interaction with, in various forms and different ways.

Remember, that The LORD never wastes anything that may happen to us or that we may go through, due to our own behavioral choices, decisions and actions or as a result of others and what they may do; that ends up having a direct affect upon our own lives.

The LORD will utilize all of it; in shaping, making, maturing and growing the individual, in order to fully accomplish His purpose, will and the unique mission in life that each of us are called to do.

So, child of Papa God, don’t ever reject, disdain or be upset when The LORD disciplines you—who are His greatly beloved and most cherished very own children, whom He joyfully delights in; and therefore will absolutely correct, discipline and appropriately reprimand, as needed, as well as, whenever and wherever it’s necessary! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 07/25- “The Search For Authenticity—Let Papa God Be The Final Arbiter!” (Psalm 139:23-24)

Premise Question: Is it ever a good idea or does it ever work out to our own advantage or benefit, when we try to manage, hold things back or keep things in our lives hidden away from others and The LORD?

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:23-24‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Thoroughly examine and scrutinize me, Sovereign Almighty Papa God, and know with certainty and a clear perception, completely understanding the very core of who I am at the innermost part of my being, the seat of my emotions; test and try me, in order to determine and evaluate my authenticity and genuineness, and clearly discern my mental anguish, as I am afflicted with great distress and concern. Perceive whether there be any displeasing, rebellious, insolent, unpleasant, disagreeable or repugnant manner, unacceptable attitude or inappropriate behavior in me; for I fully surrender myself to Your leadership, Your purpose and perfect will for my life, being confidently assured that You shall guide and direct my path upon the everlasting divine way of Your eternal truth and life. (Psalm 139:23-24 PDCP)

Bottom Line: We don’t ever really gain any kind of edge, benefit or advantage when we, on our own, try to just manage our sin, our challenges and issues going on in our lives, by keeping things hidden in compartments of our lives, away from the view and knowledge of others, under lock, chains and keys of secrecy. For all that we end up accomplishing, is a self-imposed incarceration of being held captive in a prison of our own doing and our own mind! We will never truly be successful in trying to keep those things under wraps, as they eventually become unmanageable and begin to come apart at the seams, unravelling at an alarming rate, completely out of our’s or anyone else’s control, save The LORD’S! That’s why it is so vitally important to be open, transparent and accountable to The LORD, and others, by confessing our sins, faults, mistakes, misgivings and failings with those, who also confess their own sin, challenges and issues with The LORD and others.

The LORD doesn’t need us to tell Him what’s going on in our lives, even the parts we think are hidden and buried deep, within our within, with a no access or trespassing sign posted, a gate and huge lock and chain on it! For in The LORD’S case, it’s completely impossible to keep anything hidden away from His view or knowledge, as He sees all, hears all and is fully aware of all, at all times, on all occasions, as nothing ever escapes His omniscience.

Papa God wants us to be open and transparent with Him, because it is what we need and should do, in order to come clean, be made clean and have the ability to have a just, right, satisfying and fulfilling, authentic, intimate, personal relationship with Papa God; as this will work to our greatest advantage and extreme benefit in every area and compartment of our lives.

So, in our search for authenticity, validation and acceptance, let Papa God be the final arbiter of everything in our lives, as He will always faithfully lead and guide us upon the path of eternal truth, life, with complete joy and perfect bliss. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 06/27- “Don’t Get Stuck On Stupid!” (Proverbs 12:1)

Premise Question: What is the prudently wise, being the utmost effective way in producing the most preferred and desired results, in order for a person to learn, develop, grow and mature spiritually, emotionally, socially and then, to also have a high degree of mental acumen?

To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ NLT)

No matter who you are, if you’ll relish discipline, by fully embracing and allowing it to thoroughly train and equip you, in order to develop obedience in you, and, if you’ll be a lover of knowledge, by cherishing the principles of truth, it will increase your insight and understanding; causing an awareness in you of the great benefits derived from being one who loves, rather than disdains and despises discipline. But, if you are one who dislikes intensely, having an extreme hostility for and a detestable aversion to correction, by not yielding yourself to it, and then, allowing the necessary and appropriate remedy, along with any properly proposed adjustment to be applied to your wrongful thinking, inappropriate behavior or actions, then, you are simply quite foolish, without any sense, common or otherwise, and can therefore, be identified as being just plain stupid. (Proverbs 12:1 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Whatever walk or ilk a person comes from in life, there is going to come a time in their lives where they can no longer feign being ignorant or unaware. There may be a time in their lives though, that they are unaware that they’re even unaware! But once they’ve become aware, and been given the opportunity, through discipline and correction, to gain knowledge, understanding and insight, so as not to be unaware and ignorant any longer, they must necessarily take full responsibility for their thoughts, actions and behaviors. For when a person becomes aware and then chooses to not let go of their ignorant ways of thinking, with the accompanying behaviors, they can, at that time, be considered to be a stupid fool!

It’s therefore, an absolute imperative, that in order to learn and acquire the knowledge needed to develop, mature and grow, in all areas of life, a person should embrace and love the discipline and correcting process; for it is, without a doubt, the most judiciously prudent way and will have the greatest effect, while producing the ultimate and most desired results.

There’s an old saying: “You can’t fix stupid!” So don’t get stuck on stupid, by hating correction and discipline. Ignorance can be corrected and ultimately fixed, but there’s pretty much no hope for the belligerently stupid. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 06/08- “Control Your Tongue And Live!” (Proverbs 13:3)

Premise Question: What must we do to control our tongue?

Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭3‬ NLT)

When one is able to have control over the content of what they allow to escape out of their heart and mind, slipping over their tongue, through their lips and out of their mouth; it will have the wonderful effect of protecting and maintaining their continued existence, and will fill up their life up with an effervescence of joy and peace. Conversely, though, when there is no restraint or thoughtful consideration, but an acting with haste, with a total lack of prudence, while articulating, it will result in arriving at a place of certain downfall; producing a life that’s ravaged, resulting in a thoroughly and utterly devastating complete loss, irretrievably injured, without any possibility of repair! (Proverbs 13:3 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Choose to always speak words that promote life, encouragement and refreshing; words that will build up, repair and renew, not words that foment death and despair, that shred, tear apart, tear down, demolish and destroy.

Don’t allow words to come forth, out of your mouth, impulsively, unchecked and unbridled, lacking propriety and appropriateness, causing a spontaneous combustion that can turn into a conflagration, having the potential to obliterate and destroy everything and everyone within range of hearing and then, once it spreads, everywhere else it’s carried to and repeated!

It’s much more prudent to have a good, wise and strong filter, with a shut off valve at the ready.

I can remember hearing some of these sayings in years gone by: “Put a lid on it!” “Zip your lip!” “Think before you speak!” “Be careful little mouth what you speak!” “Put a guard on that tongue and lock it down!” “Zip it, lock it and throw away the key!” “Measure twice, cut once!” A variation of that one is: “Be very careful before you speak, measuring every word carefully before you choose to speak, so you won’t throw caution to the wind and speak thoughtlessly and carelessly; therefore, consider and measure your thoughts and words twice before you speak them out!”

The problem arises when we allow inappropriate words to escape across our tongues and out of our mouths. But the root of the problem and the real issue is what is already entrenched, fomenting and waiting for an opportunity to release and express itself, in our thoughts and heart.

For as The LORD Himself said: “You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭12‬:‭34‬ NLT)

So, if we don’t want to slip up and mis-speak, which can produce unwanted, chaotic and destructive results, then we must be willing to deal with what is in our heart, in an appropriate way and manner and in a prudently chosen, appropriate time and place; along with wise counsel and the powerful agent of forgiveness, deliberately walking in release and applying the entirety of Papa God’s Holy Scriptures to our life, in every situation, circumstance and in all our different and various relationships!

Remember, the mouth will, perhaps inadvertently, at a most inopportune time or occasion, eventually speak what is hidden in your heart and thoughts.

So, as I am wont to say: “Keep your heart free of debris, flush the flesh and stay refreshed!” Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 06/07- “All Of Papa God’s Holy Scriptures Are Divinely Inspired!” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Premise Question: What are the vital reasons Papa God’s Holy Scriptures were revealed and given to us, and for what divine purposes?

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. (‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16-17‬ NLT)

All of the Holy Scriptures, both in the Old and New Testaments, are divinely inspired by and come directly from the heart and mouth of Papa God; delivered to humankind through the very breath of The Holy Spirit. Therefore, it’s exceedingly helpful in teaching us truth and imparting Papa God’s wonderful knowledge, as well as, developing skillfully, the talents and abilities He has conferred upon us, for doing great exploits; which will bring Him glory, honor and praise. His Holy Writ is also given for our great benefit, in reproving and reprimanding all error and rebellion, truing any mistakes or faults, by correcting them, while giving intense instruction in the disciplining process, for the express purpose of attaining righteous conduct and behavior, so that, the one who is serving Papa God, will have at their disposal, being completely provided with, whatever is needed for the undertaking of achieving all possible benevolent, morally excellent, virtuous activities and deeds.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17 PDCP)

Bottom Line: The vital reasons The Holy Scriptures have been given to all of us, humankind, is to reveal Papa God’s heart of love to and for His creation, to show us the path of reconciliation, in order to be restored back to Him in right relationship. He accomplishes this by utilizing The Scriptures to teach us the truth, exposing the wrong within us, correcting us when we make mistakes, refining and purifying us, instructing us in righteousness, in order to enable us to do what is right.

The divine purposes for which The Holy Scriptures were given are: to fully equip and prepare His people, developing the skills, talents and abilities, that He’s conferred upon each one of us. This, in order to do great and astonishing exploits, that produce a harvest of good works and deeds; which accomplishes His greatest purpose, will and desire for humankind—that of being reconciled and restored back to Him, for a flourishing and refreshing relationship of perfect peace, love and harmony, which results in us experiencing sweet and unbroken fellowship with Him. Blessings…
