SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/30- “First Things First—Priorities!”
(1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Premise Question: What should we, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, actively be doing, be fully engaged and involved in, with a sense of great urgency, by making it our first and foremost, highest priority, according to The Apostle Paul in his first letter to Timothy?

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

First and foremost, let’s get our priorities in line and on board with Papa God’s priorities. He insists, by strongly admonishing us, with persuasive urging, that we should devote ourselves to being aware of all people’s needs, by drafting petitions with specific names and requests on them, in order to offer up intelligent prayers, and humble supplications, on their behalf. We must be willing to intercede, by standing in the gap before The LORD, asking Him to intervene and act, in accordance to their needs and to their greatest benefit, always giving thanks, at all times and on all occasions, with a heart of gratitude and blessing. We have been given this responsibility, by The LORD Himself, to make sure that this is happening, on a regular basis, for all people everywhere; especially though, for those who are in positions of leadership and all those who have been given authority, with influence and power to make decisions that affect our daily lives. We are commanded to do this, so that we may live our lives in a serene, peaceful and tranquil state of being; having the opportunity afforded us to live a godly, virtuous, devoutly righteous life, that will bring honor and glory to Papa God. (1 Timothy 2:1-2 PDCP)

Bottom Line: When it comes to prayer and petitioning, entreating, interceding, inquiring, pleading, intervening, advocating and making requests to Papa God, on behalf of others, it seems, all too often, to be left and relegated as being the last resort, the final option, lowest on the list of priorities, and then, is only considered as being viable and comes into play, after finally exhausting all of our own opinions, attempts, wisdom, efforts and all other options, when it ought to be our first and foremost—prima facie priority, resort and option!

Once we’ve actually gotten our priorities in line and on board with Papa God’s priorities, concerning prayer, then it is of the utmost importance that we be ready and willing to fully engage, putting our feet and hands, our hearts and minds, in motion, by having an active, deliberate, devoted and diligently consistent prayer life; praying for all people everywhere, asking Papa God to help them, by meeting their unique and pressing needs and always remembering to give thanks for them, but especially, we are urged to offer up specific prayers for all those who are leaders and rulers, as well as, for all those who are serving in positions of authority and wield great influence.

The divine purpose and urgent call for making prayer, not just an occasional activity or priority that we sporadically or rarely participate in, but one that we absolutely make as our first and foremost activity and highest priority, is so that we will have the opportunity afforded to us to be able to live our lives in peace and quiet; in order to be recognized and characterized as being full of dignity and righteousness.

Let’s make first things first, by making prayer our first and foremost priority! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 03/12- “The Eternal LORD—Stands In The Gap!” (Hebrews 7:25)

Premise Question: Whom is The LORD and how did He become “The One” to stand in the gap, for all those who would be drawn to Him, in order to have the access and permission to come back and be reconciled to Papa God?

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
(‭Hebrews‬ ‭7‬:‭25‬ NLT)

Because of who The LORD Jesus Christ is and what He has done, in accomplishing the impossible, by freely choosing to lay down His life, as a ransom for all humankind, once and for all time, in death, upon a cruel cross; He has opened up access to a new and superior covenant, which permits humankind to return and be reconciled back to Papa God. Now, The Eternal LORD stands in the gap, as the advocate, for all those who’ve returned back to Papa God, always pleading and intervening, before Him, for their sakes. (Hebrews 7:25 PDCP)

Bottom Line: The LORD is strong and mighty in battle! (Psalm 24:8) He is able to do the impossible! (Matthew 19:26) He willingly gave up His life! (1 John 3:16) He was victorious over death, hell and the grave! (1 Corinthians 15:55-56) And now, The LORD forever lives, standing in the gap, to represent those who’ve come back to Papa God, through Him! (Hebrews 7:25) Blessings…
