SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 12/14- “We Get What We Ask For And What’s Best For Us, When It’s What He Wants For Us!” (1 John 5:14-15)

Premise Question: Do we, can we, as children of The Most High—The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty, get and have what we ask of Him?

“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” ‭‭(1 John‬ ‭5:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬)

This is the certain certitude, that we confidently possess, being fully assured, with extraordinary courage, as we draw near, even extremely close, to the very manifest presence, of The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty: it’s knowing that if we make a request, that is entirely congruent with His divine design, perfect purpose and wonderful plan for our lives, which pleases Him, then, He is pre-disposed to incline His ear and heart towards us and listens with rapt attention. And, because we are not in the dark, or unaware of the fact that He listens to us, when we offer up our petitions, requests and entreaties, that are pleasing to Him, then, no matter what we request, we are already fully assured of having all that we have requested of Him!
(1 John 5:14-15 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Oh what a blessing it is for us and others, when our requests of The LORD are pleasing to Him, because they truly fulfill His divine purpose and wonderful plan for our lives and the lives of others.

It’s also wonderful knowing, that when we ask anything, according to His will, we have it, for it is already a work in progress and is part of the necessary and perfect process. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 12/04- “As Long As I Have Breath—I Will Praise The LORD!” (Psalms 63:4-5)

Premise Question: For what duration and in what way and manner, should we, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, honor The Name of The LORD GOD Almighty?

“I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. You satisfy me more than the richest feast. I will praise you with songs of joy.”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63:4-5‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

It is of my own volition, that I deliberately, with great diligence, devotion and determination, each and everyday of my life, for as long as I shall have breath, choose to honor You, O LORD, wholeheartedly, with every fiber and all the strength of my being, by offering up to You, my highest and most extravagant praise and worship, unto Your magnificent, incomparable and splendidly glorious Name. In so doing, I shall be filled with the glory of Your presence, being completely content, absolutely gratified and supplied abundantly, with every kind of the most delectable of fare. Therefore, I shall not ever stop lifting my hands, my heart and my voice, with expressions of great and exuberant joyful praise unto You, LORD GOD Almighty. I will utter these ecstatic expressions, with my mouth and lips, and with singing, that shall come from the very depths of my most grateful and satisfied heart and soul, even within the within of the innermost part of my being. (Psalms 63:4-5 PDCP)

Bottom Line: We, as fully accepted and sealed members of The Company of The Redeemed, should always be joyfully ready and willing to, at all times, on all occasions and in every circumstance and situation, without exception, offer up unto The LORD GOD Almighty, by invoking, bestowing upon and honoring His Name, with constant expressions of extravagant praise and worship; in songs, that are filled with exuberant joyful singing, which should ultimately come from deep within the within of our innermost beings, being forever grateful, full of joy, extremely thankful, hearts and souls.

Therefore, as long as I have breath—l will praise The LORD! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 11/15- “Building Holy Faith—Praying In The Holy Spirit!” (Jude 1:20-21)

Premise Question: Do we, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, make it our common practice to build ourselves up in our most holy faith and are we faithfully praying in the Holy Spirit?

“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.” (‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

But you, my dear friends, members all, of The Great Company of The Redeemed, and who do have complete access to the comfort, power and presence of The Holy Spirit, as He, The Spirit of Christ now dwells, residing deep within the within of your innermost being, don’t ever stop growing, developing and maturing in your sacred and most precious walk of faith. Therefore, don’t become lackadaisical or accept the status quo of mediocrity, but continue to faithfully utilize fully the power of The Holy Spirit, by making it your daily practice to rely upon, and to pray in, The Holy Spirit. Keep on practicing the presence of The LORD—loving and walking humbly before Him, loving and walking in release before all others, as you wait, with a patient calm assurance, for the all consuming, rescuing and redeeming, protective covering of the loving and merciful grace of our LORD and Savior—Jesus Christ, to transform, then transport you to your eternal abode; to forever be in the very presence of The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty. And that, without end! (Jude 1:20-21 PDCP)

Bottom Line: We, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, must stay ever vigilant, with a deliberate diligence, to not ever become lackadaisical and then, as a direct result, slip into mediocrity, where our most holy faith stops growing and developing, and our practice of praying in the Holy Spirit wanes, to the point of no longer building ourselves up in spiritual maturity, but actually begins to diminish, atrophy and die. Don’t ever succumb to being just mediocre!

A very wise young man once said to me in a staff meeting: “Once you’ve licked the lollipop of mediocrity, you suck the rest of your life!”

Thanks, my son, Rob Cox. Something I’ll never forget and constantly remind myself of, as I daily give thanks, while awaiting the mercy of The LORD Jesus Christ, who will bring me eternal life, I will build myself and others up, on our most holy faith, by praying in The Holy Spirit, and thus, stay safe and secure, in the loving arms and care of Papa God’s unfailing love. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 10/26- “The LORD Hears My Voice, When I Call Upon His Name For Mercy!” (Psalms 116:1-2)

Premise Question: In what ways can and should we, The Company of The Redeemed, respond to The LORD’s wonderful expressions of His acts of mercy, gracious favor and His loving kindness shown towards us?

“I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

I profoundly, with all of my affections, strongest desires and certain sure intentions, love The LORD GOD Almighty, with my whole heart, body and soul! For He, The LORD GOD Almighty Himself, inclines His ear towards the direction and sound of my desperate cry and plea for His kind, considerate and compassionate, divine favor of forbearance, to be shown towards me, which He, without fail, definitely always does! Because He, The LORD GOD Almighty, pays close rapt attention, carefully listening to my entreaty every time I call upon Him; I will therefore, continually offer up my supplications, requests and prayers to Him, when I’m in need of assistance, for as long as I have breath and continue to live! (Psalms 116:1-2 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Here are just some of the ways, expressions and actions we can take and do, in response to The LORD’s expressions of acts of mercy, gracious favor and His loving kindness shown towards us:

We can and should be praying to Him, not only for ourselves and our own interests, but interceding and praying on behalf of others and their specific needs and interests!

We ought to be singing songs about His magnificent mercies shown towards us and all of humankind!

We can prepare and make declarative proclamations about His loving kindness!

We should abandon ourselves in exultation, high praise and worship to Him; glorifying and magnifying His Name, by testifying about His marvelous acts and wonderful deeds, together with others!

We should and can share His love, compassion, mercy, loving kindness and gracious favor, by clearly saying, then displaying and showing it towards others!

We should, with heartfelt thanksgiving and gratitude, be completely thankful to The LORD for all that He has done, is doing and shall yet do!

We can follow Him and then lead others to Him. We can do this by helping others as He, The LORD, has, is and will continue to help us!

We need to be faithful, reliable, dependable and totally trustworthy, towards and with others, as He, The LORD, is towards and with us!

Finally, we need to be patient and long suffering, inclining and bending ourselves towards others, with great compassion, by being willing to listen to them, and then following through, by doing all that we can, with The LORD’s help and aid, to help them in their plight!

Thank The LORD, that He indeed does hear our cries for mercy!

We should and must remember this: Mercy is always shown to the merciful! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 10/02- “Be Joyful, Patient And Faithful To Prayer!” (Romans 12:12)

Premise Question: Is it actually possible for us to be continually filled with the joy of The LORD, irrespective and regardless of what we may be experiencing or having to go through; if we will deliberately choose to rejoice, no matter what, learn to be patient and hopeful, in our troubling and difficult times, and always give ourselves to praying about everything and for everyone, on all occasions, in any situation and in every circumstance?

“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.”
‭(‭Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Deliberately choose to be ever joyful, by rejoicing with a glad heart, that’s filled with gratitude and thanksgiving, as well as having a fully expectant and confidently assured belief of obtaining real hope and the complete joy of The LORD, from Him, who is The Blessed and only Hope of humankind; our redeeming LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. Be patient and still, relying on The LORD, by remaining tranquilly calm, with a steadfast resolve. Do this, without any complaining, moaning and groaning, mumbling and grumbling or being quickly or easily annoyed and given to despair, during times of affliction, persistent distress, disease and misery, that most assuredly, all too often, is also accompanied by excruciating pain, along with, arduously difficult trials and hardships. And, be ever vigilant, by being completely faithful and true, keeping your word, fulfilling your vows, being consistently and constantly humble in all ways, all of your days; always choosing to do what is right and just, while being diligently devoted to prayer, by offering up to Papa God, on behalf of yourselves and others, earnest supplications, requests and petitions of expectant, believing prayer. (Romans 12:12 PDCP)

Bottom Line: There are countless historical examples of those who were continually full of joy, filled with patience and had a confident and expectant hope that came from The LORD, through their deliberate rejoicing and devotion to a consistent prayer life. They are seen in the Old Testament through The New Testament, all of the Church history to even this time that we are now presently living in. And, there will be countess more examples to recount in the future and the coming days, as The LORD continues to tarry and we wait for His certain return.

Noah prayed and received specific instructions on how to build an Ark for the coming great deluge, even though it had never rained, he did this with much joy, enduring patiently, with an expectant hope, (it took 120 years to do it) and he never stopped inquiring of The LORD.

Daniel was thrown into a den of hungry lions, and yet, he did not stop rejoicing, praying or waiting patiently upon The LORD. He also didn’t lose his confident faith or positive attitude in and during his ordeal.

Daniel’s close friends, (commonly referred to as the three Hebrew children) that were cast into a fiery furnace, never wavered in their confident hope in The LORD and His ability to deliver them, and they ended up have a wonderful meeting with The LORD in the midst of their fiery ordeal.

David went out to face Goliath, a giant that had ridiculed and mocked, threatened and filled with disabling fear, every soldier in the armies of a whole nation, as well as personally insulting and mocking The LORD GOD Almighty and His Holy Name. It was after David had prayed, praised and sang songs unto The LORD, he went out to face the giant, with just a slingshot, five smooth stones and the greatest of his weapons, his expectant faith and confident hope in The Name of The LORD! As we all found out, Goliath was no match for David, who was armed with his faith, a slingshot, five smooth stones, (he only needed one, the others were not just in case he missed, but just in case any one of the four brothers of Goliath happen to show up to fight) and The Name of The LORD!

Remember, if God is for us, and He most certainly is, who can be against us?

Here’s a couple examples from The New Testament: Paul and Silas beaten, jailed and shackled, and yet they were rejoicing, praising, praying and patiently enduring, with a joyful confident hope, that The LORD was with them and would see them through it all! They ended up at their jailer’s house in the middle of the night having a celebration party for all that The LORD had done, and they even got to eat and drink to their fill!

Paul encourages Timothy to keep his joy, by enduring hardships as a good soldier, for a good soldier never complains, moans or groans, but continues to do what he is called to do. Paul told the Philippians to rejoice in The LORD no matter what, and then, to continue to rejoice!

James tells us to count it all joy, no matter what we may experience or have to go through!

Most recently, Christians in the Middle East, young and old alike, have been beheaded, drowned, cut in two, starved, beaten, tortured, enslaved, used and abused as sex slaves, because of their faith, and yet, testimony after testimony emerges of the joy and sustaining comfort they all experienced from The LORD, during their awful ordeal!

Now, we hear of those who were shot in the head, because they stood up and were willing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as being their LORD and Savior; willing to be recognized and counted as being members of The Company of The Redeemed—those who’ve placed their confident faith and expectant hope in The LORD! Great is their reward, with much rejoicing and celebration!

So, absolutely yes! It is not only possible, but in fact, is completely validated and established, by numerous examples from ancient history, long ago history, recent history and will be, in the history of the future, because, again, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and even beyond forever! He doesn’t change, but He can and does change our hearts, filling them with rejoicing joy, confident faith and an expectant hope; one that will not ever disappoint, diminish or fade away, as long as we joyfully rejoice, patiently endure, have a hopeful expectation and continue to faithfully pray! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: PDCP- 09/30- “First Things First—Priorities!” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/30- “First Things First—Priorities!”
(1 Timothy 2:1-2)

Premise Question: What should we, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, actively be doing, be fully engaged and involved in, with a sense of great urgency, by making it our first and foremost, highest priority, according to The Apostle Paul in his first letter to Timothy?

“I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” (1 Timothy‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

First and foremost, let’s get our priorities in line and on board with Papa God’s priorities. He insists, by strongly admonishing us, with persuasive urging, that we should devote ourselves to being aware of all people’s needs, by drafting petitions with specific names and requests on them, in order to offer up intelligent prayers, and humble supplications, on their behalf. We must be willing to intercede, by standing in the gap before The LORD, asking Him to intervene and act, in accordance to their needs and to their greatest benefit, always giving thanks, at all times and on all occasions, with a heart of gratitude and blessing. We have been given this responsibility, by The LORD Himself, to make sure that this is happening, on a regular basis, for all people everywhere; especially though, for those who are in positions of leadership and all those who have been given authority, with influence and power to make decisions that affect our daily lives. We are commanded to do this, so that we may live our lives in a serene, peaceful and tranquil state of being; having the opportunity afforded us to live a godly, virtuous, devoutly righteous life, that will bring honor and glory to Papa God. (1 Timothy 2:1-2 PDCP)

Bottom Line: When it comes to prayer and petitioning, entreating, interceding, inquiring, pleading, intervening, advocating and making requests to Papa God, on behalf of others, it seems, all too often, to be left and relegated as being the last resort, the final option, lowest on the list of priorities, and then, is only considered as being viable and comes into play, after finally exhausting all of our own opinions, attempts, wisdom, efforts and all other options, when it ought to be our first and foremost—prima facie priority, resort and option!

Once we’ve actually gotten our priorities in line and on board with Papa God’s priorities, concerning prayer, then it is of the utmost importance that we be ready and willing to fully engage, putting our feet and hands, our hearts and minds, in motion, by having an active, deliberate, devoted and diligently consistent prayer life; praying for all people everywhere, asking Papa God to help them, by meeting their unique and pressing needs and always remembering to give thanks for them, but especially, we are urged to offer up specific prayers for all those who are leaders and rulers, as well as, for all those who are serving in positions of authority and wield great influence.

The divine purpose and urgent call for making prayer, not just an occasional activity or priority that we sporadically or rarely participate in, but one that we absolutely make as our first and foremost activity and highest priority, is so that we will have the opportunity afforded to us to be able to live our lives in peace and quiet; in order to be recognized and characterized as being full of dignity and righteousness.

Let’s make first things first, by making prayer our first and foremost priority! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/29- “When You Call Upon Me, I, The LORD, Will Answer You!” (Jeremiah 33:2-3)

Premise Question: What assurances do we have that Papa God indeed hears our requests and desperate cries for help; and, during those difficult times, how does The LORD respond to us and what does He show and tell us?

“This is what the LORD says—the LORD who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the LORD: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”
(Jeremiah‬ ‭33:2-3‬ ‭NLT‬)

Listen carefully, by paying close attention to the spoken Word of The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty—Papa God; The Creator of the heavens and the earth and everything therein. Listen to The One who shaped and established the heavens and the earth, by forming it, as a master potter, with His own hands, giving life to everything, with just the breath of His spoken Word. For He is The One that has a Name above every other name. His Name is The LORD, who rules and reigns, as The Supreme Ruler, over everything and everyone, and this is His personal invitation to everyone everywhere: “Cry out to Me, look to Me, inquire of Me, seek My face, and I, The LORD, will not only hear and answer your request and cry for help, but will also give you great insight and understanding into things that you haven’t any knowledge or awareness of; secret, mysterious, hidden things, that have yet to be explored, discovered or revealed.” (Jeremiah 33:2-3 PDCP)

Bottom Line: The assurances that we have and have been given, through Papa God’s Holy Writ—The Scriptures are, first and foremost: “I Am The LORD your God, I do not and will not ever change!” (Malachi 3:6)

The LORD told Jeremiah, while he was in confinement, that He The LORD would never abandon His people!

The writer of Hebrews tells us that, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8)

The LORD told Jeremiah that He was going to raise up a righteous descendent from King David’s line that would bring cleansing and joy, not only to the people of Judah and the city of Jerusalem, but to all the people of the earth!

So this Word of The LORD was and is not just to the prophet Jeremiah and the people of Judah, but to the whole earth and to all peoples everywhere and for all times! This He absolutely did and fully accomplished by sending His Only Son, Jesus Christ as The Savior and Redeemer of Humankind!

In the New Testament book of James, the writer, inspired by The Holy Spirit, encourages and implores everyone, that when they draw closer to Papa God, then He will draw close to them! (James 4:8)

The LORD also told Jeremiah that He was a God that was close by and not far away! (Jeremiah 23:23)

The LORD told His disciples in The Gospel according to John, that He would not ever abandon them as orphans! (John 14:18)

And furthermore, the writer of Lamentations laments of his troubles to The LORD and declares that when he cried out from the pit, The LORD heard his cry for help and came to him with the comforting words of “do not fear!” (Lamentations 3:55-57)

The most important aspect, to me, concerning this divine principle and wonderful truth is: that during those times of desperation and difficult challenges The LORD is always faithful and true to His Word, and therefore, has always, does always and will always hear our cries for help and thus, will come very close, even getting right next to us, in order to communicate, share and reveal to us some incredible things, that without Him telling and showing us, we would not otherwise, have ever known. And then, He ultimately, thoroughly and completely rescues us for all of eternity!

I suppose the question has been and still today could be asked. Does Papa God have a direct line, or a 911 number that we can call, in order to personally get in touch with Him? Yes, He certainly does and has published and made it readily available for anyone and everyone to use! Jeremiah 33:3…Papa God’s phone number…use it now, use it often…you won’t ever get an answering service or a busy signal, for He is always ready, able, willing and waiting for His people, who are humble and contrite, to call upon His name, and then, He will always do what His Word says He will do! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/16- “When We Don’t Know What Or How, The Holy Spirit Always Does!” (Romans 8:26)

Premise Question: Can the true believers in Jesus Christ, being authentic members of The Company of The Redeemed, truly rely and completely depend upon The Spirit of Christ—The Holy Spirit, that lives within the within of the innermost part of their being, to faithfully lead and guide them through every difficult challenge and trying time in their lives; with divine wisdom, even guiding them into and safely through their weaknesses and things that are not known or understood?

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

As we eagerly, but with patience, wait for the appearing of our Blessed Hope—Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit Himself will come to our aid, with divine wisdom, assuring comfort, insertional inspiration and great insight. It is during those times in our lives, when we experience difficult afflictions, noisome infirmities, accompanied by overwhelming sorrows, that His superb and most sufficient and gracious aid arrives. For when we are confronted with these horrible obstacles and challenges, not knowing which way to turn, being at a complete loss of how to respond and pray, it is then, that The Holy Spirit Himself comes to our rescue, by coming along side us with deep concern, pleading our case before Papa God—The Almighty Heavenly Father, on our behalf; discerning perfectly our plight, that we cannot adequately nor amply convey, with words uttered or expressed. (Romans 8:26 PDCP)

Bottom Line: The quick, succinct and absolutely true, right and completely faithful response to the premise question is: YES! The true believers in Jesus Christ, being members of The Company of The Redeemed, can without any equivocation, trepidation or timidity, absolutely fully rely on the dependability of the faithfulness and divine wisdom of The Holy Spirit, living and dwelling within them!

The true believer, should never be duped, pressured, bullied or coerced, by their fears, flesh, their own wisdom or the opinions and whims of the culture, nor by others about anything, but especially, when it comes to spiritual things and the things of The LORD!

The true believer will always choose to trust, rely and utterly depend upon The Holy Spirit in all things!

Remember, even when we don’t know what or how we ought to pray or move, The Holy Spirit always does and will faithfully lead and guide us, as well as, intercede for us, before Papa God, on our behalf. Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/10- “The Hope Of Humankind, Jesus Christ—The Sovereign LORD Of All!” (Romans 15:13)

Premise Question: Who is the true source of real joy and perfect peace, and what are we, The Company of The Redeemed specifically called, with expectation, to do with it?

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

May Papa God, The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty, who is the fountainhead of all comfort, strength and hope, fill you beyond capacity, even to overflowing, with His great rejoicing joy and His harmonious tranquil peace; as you place your complete believing faith and utter reliance upon Him, Jesus Christ—The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty of all. In so doing, you, shall continually be a refreshing, effervescent flowing, fountain of life, filled with real hope, for all those who are full of anguish and despair, feeling dismayed and discouraged, rejected and dejected, desperately barren and brittle, dehydrated, drained and dry, without any prospects of real hope upon the horizon. This real hope, that fills you to overflowing, is The Blessed and only real Hope of humankind. And, it will never disappoint, falter nor fail, for it is fully endowed and supplied, by the overwhelming, more than sufficient power, of The Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 PDCP)

Bottom Line: We, each and every member of The Company of The Redeemed, are all called to be filled completely, even to overflowing, with the releasing, refreshing joy and perfect peace of Papa God; who is the veritable fountainhead and true life-giving source of real hope.

Then, we are to carry this precious presence of the Blessed Hope of refreshing and renewing joy, that is within us, to a world that lacks hope and is desperately searching for relief, refreshing, renewal, with a sense of wanting to know why they are here, where and how they fit in, and what their reason and purpose for being here is.

Let’s all become more aware and in tune, making sure that we are being filled to overflowing, each and every day, with the veritable presence of The Holy Spirit—The Blessed Hope, in our lives, so that we will become an effervescent fountain of life, that flows out of our lives and into the world; touching the hurting, the helpless, the hopeless, the needy, the searching and the discouraged and dismayed, with the renewing and refreshing joy and perfect peace of Papa God, The only real Hope of humankind, The Blessed Hope—Jesus Christ, who is the true, life-giving, Fountain of Life! SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 08/28- “O LORD! Please! Help Me!” (Psalms 27:7)

Premise Question: Where can I go to get the absolutely perfect soothing answer, that fulfills my desperate cry for help and then, truly refreshes and satisfies my soul?

“Hear me as I pray, O LORD. Be merciful and answer me!” (‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Most Holy and Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty, full of compassion and grace, incline Your omnipresent ear, with Your long suffering and gentle disposition, towards the direction and sound of my desperate call; at the very moment You hear Your most humble and full of gratitude, servant’s plea. Show me Your loving kindness, and Your beneficent gracious divine favor, by acting on my behalf and responding to me, with the perfect solution that will meet and solve the present situation and circumstance of my urgent and pressing call. Please, O LORD, answer me; according to Your mercy and Your perfect purpose and will for my life. (Psalm 27:7 PDCP)

Bottom Line: There is an old song I remember singing quite a lot while growing up in church many years ago—”Where Could I Go But To The LORD!” When, on occasion, I sang it as a young child, it didn’t have much impact or meaning for me, as the lyrics didn’t necessarily pertain to me, in any great sense or degree. But as I grew older and subsequently experienced life on many different levels, it became extremely pertinent to me on a number of different levels, as well as, even greater, on a very personal basis. The lyrics to the chorus of, “Where Could I Go But To The LORD,” which was written by the great songwriter (J B) Coats in 1940, go as follows:

Where could I go, where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend, to help me in the end
Where could I go, but to The LORD

The lyrics in the three verses to this song are also quite powerful! So, as it pertains to the scripture verse found in (Psalms 27:7), we recognize that the only place that we can truly go, in order to have our desperate cry for help heard, and then, necessarily, as well as, satisfactorily answered, is to The LORD!

There will be times and occasions in our life, though, that a friend, a family member, the church, the government or some other agency, will not have the capacity nor the capability to really hear, respond or understand our desperate cry for help, and thereby, satisfy and fulfill our deep need. But, we do have an advocate, who is willing, waiting and wanting to hear our voice cry out to Him for mercy, from the depths of a humble and contrite heart.

Therefore, we ought to humbly plead, pray and cry out to Him, asking Him to hear our cry for help, with the full understanding that it is only He, that can truly give us the help that we need. For He, The LORD, is our only hope!

We serve a good, gracious and full of mercy Papa God! Therefore, we can humbly appeal to His beneficent mercy, great compassion and gracious favor, and with full assurance and confidence, know that He not only hears us, but will also acknowledge us, by answering and getting back to us, in His appointed time, with the perfect answer for us, in complete accordance with His divine purpose and will for our life. Blessings…
