SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 11/04/15- “Papa God Pleasers Or People Pleasers, We Must Choose!” (Galatians 1:10 NLT)
Premise Question: Why does or would someone, who is a member of The Company of The Redeemed, Papa God’s very own, chosen and cherished, precious and dearly beloved people, ever choose to be a “people pleaser” over or rather than a “Papa God pleaser?”
“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.”
(Galatians 1:10 NLT)
If you even think for one minute, that I’m the least bit interested in winning the approval and acceptance of fickle humankind, in any way shape or form, or that I will ever make a feigned attempt to have it appear to be so, through the appeasement and accommodation of people, then you are sadly, as well as, gravely mistaken. Because the only one I want or need to please and thereby, gain His seal of approval, is The Sovereign LORD GOD Almighty! When we endeavor to make it our ambition, our intent, focus or goal in life, to be acceptable and pleasing to people, first off, that’s always an endeavor that’s doomed for failure from the start; but most importantly, we lose sight of our divine purpose and goal for this life. And then, we also lose our bearings, unction and credibility of what it means and what it is to be a humble, faithful and honorable servant of The Most High Papa God. We must make a choice, as faithful servants of The LORD; for we are either going to be “people pleasers” or “Papa God pleasers;” we can’t be both, it’s one or the other, so choose this day, who you are going to please! (Galatians 1:10 PDCP)
Bottom Line: Why does, or would a person, who is a member of The Company of The Redeemed, ever choose to please people over choosing to please Papa God? This is a glaring and quite obvious question to be asked and answered; given the magnitude of the vast differences, along with the extremely divergent resulting repercussions, that will take place in a person’s life, when choosing to be a “people pleaser,” over and above, or rather than, choosing to be a “Papa God pleaser.” There are a myriad of reasons, justifications, mitigating circumstances or situations, that may be given or in fact, may be used to answer why someone may succumb or choose to please people rather than Papa God. Peer pressure, greed, pride, seeking the acceptance and approval of others, wanting to be loved and embraced by others, having a desire to be one of or part of the crowd, the feeling or need to be appreciated and adored, or to want the adulation, applause, recognition and praise of others, (fame) to fill up the void and lack of self-worth that is embedded deep within a person’s heart or psyche, or it may even be out of being fearful of others and what or how they may think or perceive you.
It is not my intent, nor is it my true desire to downplay, denigrate, insinuate, or in anywise minimize the huge challenges and struggles that may confront a person, as they are on their own particular path and sojourn in this life, whether it be imagined or real! All of our hearts, our thoughts and compassion, our prayers and understanding support should, in great measure, go out to those who are living their lives in such a quandary and tumultuous plight; for all or any one of us, either has or will, at some point in our own particular and unique sojourn, perhaps, experience the same challenges and struggles. So we ought not to be so quick to make snap evaluations, conclusions or judgements. Remember the old saying—”until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes, you may want to hold onto your final conclusion or judgement!” Better yet, if we have walked in their shoes, then perhaps, we should be the very first person to be an encouraging blessing of refreshing, comfort, peace and understanding. For when all is said and done, and our time here in this life is over, no matter what the reason why was, it will definitely not ever be to our benefit, useful, or worth it, to choose be a “people pleaser” over choosing to be a “Papa God pleaser;” but rather, it will most certainly be to our everlasting, never ending, eternal detriment! Blessings…
SCRIPT FOR TODAY: PDCP- 07/23/15- “Seek And Desire The Approval Of Papa God, Not Man’s!” (Matthew 6:1)
SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 07/23/15- “Seek And Desire The Approval Of Papa God, Not Man’s!” (Matthew 6:1)
Premise Question: Is the approval, admiration, applause and adulation of man worth the risk of loosing the recognition, ratification, rewards and recompense of The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, our Papa God?
““Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1 NLT)
We should be ever mindful, taking extreme caution and care, to not make it our habit or custom of openly putting on display, before others, our righteous practice of doing good deeds, our generosity and acts of kindness, shown on every occasion, with the expressed intent, desire and purpose of being recognized, seen and acknowledged by others for them. If we so choose to practice our righteous conduct before others, in this manner, then we will not receive our just reward and recompense; that of being recognized and acknowledged by The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, our Creator and Papa God, who lives and rules from His Heavenly abode. It should be our greatest desire, in this life, to always honor and please only Him, in everything we do and say. (Matthew 6:1 PDCP)
Bottom Line: NOPE! The approval, admiration, applause and adulation of man cannot and will not ever begin to compare to the recognition, ratification, rewards and recompense of The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, our Papa God!!! For man’s expressions of praise and approval is temporary and fickle at best; while being commended, recognized and rewarded by Papa God is intrinsic, ever faithful and true, as it is everlasting and eternal. Case in point: “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” (Isaiah 64:4 NLT) And: (“That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
(1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT) May we never succumb, for any rhyme or reason, to the temptation and scenario that Esau, the twin brother of Jacob, where he exchanged his inheritance and eternal rewards of great blessings for the satisfaction of a temporary need and condition! Don’t ever choose to exchange the intrinsic for the temporal, for one lasts forever and the other soon fades away into nothingness! Therefore, always choose to seek and desire the approval and recognition of Papa God, not man’s! Blessings…
