SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 09/25/15- “Stand Firm, Stay Fixed And Focussed, Serve Fully, Achieve Success!” (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Premise Question: What does it truly mean and entail to be strong and immovable, and that, whenever, wherever and whatever we are involved in, when doing the work of The LORD, we are to always exhibit great joy and enthusiasm, as a member of The Company of The Redeemed, while doing the work of The LORD?
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” (1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT)
Consequently, my dearly beloved and greatly cherished brothers and sisters, who are all members in good standing, of The Company of The Redeemed, as a direct result of our guaranteed success of ultimate victory being granted to us through Jesus Christ The LORD; Stand firm and upright in your gloriously attained position, not yielding. Stay fixed and laser focussed, without ever wavering, being impervious to any and all things that may attempt to get you to take a detour or alter your course, change your perspective or leave your post. Serve fully, giving yourselves in complete abandonment, holding nothing back, or in reserve, (“burn the plough”) being ever vigilant, constantly consistent and entirely tireless, in your relentless, persistent pursuit of your spiritual endeavor and vital undertaking, in order to complete every critical assignment and then, fulfill the divine purpose of The LORD; because you are well aware that your struggle and diligent effort, in doing The LORD’s work, is not done in futility, but will, for you, as well as the multiplied of many others, achieve success, not only for the here and now, but also throughout all of eternity. (1 Corinthians 15:58 PDCP)
Bottom Line: To be strong and immovable means that we are not going to wilt or wane, give up, give in, quit or just throw the proverbial towel in, when challenged or tempted, by the difficult hardships and the everyday typical vicissitudes of life; or, it also means and entails, that even when we do falter, fail or succumb, by falling under the weight and giving in to the pressures of what we have been assigned and tasked to do, go through or endure, we will be absolutely resilient every time, because we are resolute in our complete reliance and utter dependence upon the renewing, restoring and reconciling power and enabling of The One who dwells and lives deep within us, The Spirit of Christ; as it is He, that has called and redeemed us out of darkness and into His glorious redemptive light, giving us new life, setting us free to worship and serve Him for all of our days, enthusiastically, with great joy and rejoicing, in all that we do and say, in this life and the life to come! So, let us all be diligent in our determination to stand firm in our faith, stay fixed and focussed upon the divine task at hand, by abandoning ourselves fully to only worshiping and serving Him, and then, wait patiently for the ultimate result of achieving a smashing success. Remember, when we do our part, He, The LORD, will definitely do His part! And oh, by the way, The LORD will help and enable us to accomplish our part, through the power and presence of The Holy Spirit working in and through us! Finally, I leave you with one of my all time favorite D. L. Moody quotes: “No man (person) ever sent by God is a failure!” The point is, if you answer the call to go, even if you don’t see the results and success you were expecting, you were still a smashing success because you did what The LORD asked you to do! We must focus on the divinely assigned task, not on the results, and whether or not we think it was a success. Just don’t ever quit or give up! Always leave the ultimate outcome and result to The LORD! Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: PDCP- 06/05/15- “Run Your Race With Dogged Determination!” (Hebrews 12:1b-2)
SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 06/05/15- “Run Your Race With Dogged Determination!” (Hebrews 12:1b-2)
Premise Question: How are we, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, supposed to approach the race we’ve each been given in this life, how are we to run the race we’ve each been given in this life and finally, how are we to finish the race we’ve each been given to run in this life?
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
(Hebrews 12:1b-2 NLT)
Be doggedly determined, while running the race of your life, proceeding with a sense of urgency, persistently steady, regardless of the obstacles or challenges you encounter along the course and path that’s been clearly marked out for you to follow. Refuse to acknowledge anyone or anything else that would distract you and take you off course and path, in your race; always staying focused, with your eyes gazing intently only upon The Savior of humankind, Jesus Christ, who is the first, the pathfinder, The One to forge a new path, by entering and clearing the way for all of us to enter into a faith that is without any flaws, entirely faultless and beyond improvement, being entirely perfect. Because of the exhilarating extreme joyful delight that was presented to Jesus, by Papa God, His Father, namely; the deliverance and salvation of the whole of humankind; He willingly yielded to the abject, contemptible disdain and the disgracefully painful ignominy of the cruel cross. Following this, though, Jesus sat down in the most highly exalted, most honored and His rightful place, seated right next to His Father, The Sovereign Almighty Papa God, upon His eternal throne. (Hebrews 12:1b, 2 PDCP)
Bottom Line: We, as members of The Company of The Redeemed, are to approach our individual race, with an attitude of humility, awe, having hopeful expectations and great excitement, along with a joyful enthusiasm. We should devote our lives to running well, always looking up, not down, moving and pressing forward, looking ahead, not behind. We are to run our individual race, with a dogged determination, completely resolute and tenacious in running our race. Refusing to quit, never giving in to the pressures, temptations and vicissitudes of life, but always relying on the leading, guiding and empowering of The LORD’S Holy Spirit. And, perhaps, when on an occasion we are distracted by something or someone, causing us to stumble and fall by the wayside; then, we must not allow ourselves to stay down on the ground, just laying around, on our path and course, stewing and wallowing in defeat, shame and ignominy, just waiting, and at times, even wanting to die. But, we must arise, get up, repent and begin again! Remembering that as long as we are still here, there is still something we’ve not done; and so, we must finish the race we’ve been give to run and complete. Speaking of finishing: We are to finish strong, the race we’ve been given to run, in this life! We may not be able to run as fast as we once did, when we were younger, but we can still choose to sprint to the finish line and lean into the tape at the end with a flourish! Then, we will hear these words from our LORD: “Well done! Way to go! You ran great, my faithful servant and dear friend! Come on in and enjoy all the rewards I’ve prepared for you! You are victorious! You have overcome and won your race!” I once heard a man describe life, our race, as being the – (dash) between the date of our birth, both physical and spiritual and the date of our death, in this life. The – (dash) in each person’s life is different, in that each one is given a certain amount of time to run their race and each one is given a different kind of race to run. Some may have a very short race, like a fifty-yard dash, while others may be given a hundred-yard sprint, and still others may be given longer and more difficult races to run, such as, a three-thousand meter steeple race, with many obstacles. Then, there are some that will even be given a marathon to run, which I would say, most of us are given, as it is a life long, in for the long haul kind of race. Whatever race we’ve been given to run in this life, we need to run like the wind, giving our greatest effort and devotion, with a dogged determination to finish strong the race we began, the one given to us to run, by The LORD Himself. May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5, 6 NIV)
May The One True Sovereign God, who is the source of our strength to endure, with patience, in spite of what we may face, giving us great courage and inspiration, while enabling us, with joy and without fear, to overcome all difficulty; also give us the same disposition and orientation of mind, our thoughts and feelings expressed and exhibited towards each other, that our Lord, Jesus Christ, had and still has, towards us, so that, all of us, with the same one intended purpose, will unify our voices, as one, proclaiming loudly, a declaration of honor, praise and admiration, worshiping and extolling His Splendid Excellency, The One True Sovereign God, The Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5, 6 PDCP)
