SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 10/26/15- “The LORD Hears My Voice, When I Call Upon His Name For Mercy!” (Psalms 116:1-2)

Premise Question: In what ways can and should we, The Company of The Redeemed, respond to The LORD’s wonderful expressions of His acts of mercy, gracious favor and His loving kindness shown towards us?

“I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!”
(‭‭Psalms‬ ‭116:1-2‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

I profoundly, with all of my affections, strongest desires and certain sure intentions, love The LORD GOD Almighty, with my whole heart, body and soul; for He, The LORD GOD Almighty Himself, inclines His ear towards the direction and sound of my desperate cry and plea for His kind, considerate and compassionate, divine favor of forbearance, to be shown towards me, which He, without fail, definitely always does. Because He, The LORD GOD Almighty, pays close rapt attention, carefully listening to my entreaty every time I call upon Him; I will therefore, continually offer up my supplications, requests and prayers to Him, when I’m in need of assistance, for as long as I have breath and continue to live. (Psalms 116:1-2 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Here are just some of the ways, expressions and actions we can take and do, in response to The LORD’s expressions of acts of mercy, gracious favor and His loving kindness shown towards us. We can and should be praying to Him, not only for ourselves and our own interests, but interceding and praying on behalf of others and their specific needs and interests. We ought to be singing songs about His magnificent mercies shown towards us and all of humankind. We can prepare and make declarative proclamations about His loving kindness. We should abandon ourselves in exultation, high praise and worship to Him; glorifying and magnifying His Name, by testifying about His marvelous acts and wonderful deeds with others. We should and can share His love, compassion, mercy, loving kindness and gracious favor, by clearly saying, then displaying and showing it towards others. We should, with heartfelt thanksgiving and gratitude, be completely thankful to The LORD for all that He has done, is doing and shall yet do! We can follow Him and then lead others to Him. We can do this by helping others as He, The LORD, has, is and will continue to help us. We need to be faithful, reliable, dependable and totally trustworthy, towards and with others, as He, The LORD, is towards and with us. Finally, we need to be patient and long suffering, inclining and bending ourselves towards others, with great compassion, by being willing to listen to them, and then following through, by doing all that we can, with The LORD’s help and aid, to help them in their plight. Thank The LORD, that He indeed does hear our cries for mercy! We must remember this: Mercy is shown to the merciful! Blessings… #TheLORDismercifulandkind #TheLORDhearsourcriesformercy

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 07/22/15- “Love, Do Good, Bless And Pray For The Difficult People In Your Life!” (Luke 6:27-28)

Premise Question: Are we, The Company of The Redeemed, truly willing to listen to what The LORD is trying to tell us, and then, do we show that we’ve accepted what He is saying to us, by actually following, fulfilling and carrying out the specific instructions He has given us, as His stewards, to do?

““But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:27-28‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

But to those of you who are willing to take to heart what I’m sharing here with you, let it teach and guide you, becoming the motivation for how you live your life: Love those who you’ve become distanced from, those who are no longer friends, but are now your enemies; therefore, you are not wanting to have anything to do with them any more, due to the virulent and perhaps violent animosity that now exists between you and them. Do good to and for those who now hate you, not just assenting in your mind to the ideal, but in your actions and deeds. And while you’re at it, choose to bless, not curse them, by speaking good things over them, things that will bring refreshing and bountiful provision into their lives. And finally, always devote yourself to praying specifically for those who have and presently are mistreating you! (Luke 6:27-28 PDCP)

Bottom Line: So, are we really willing to listen, willing to love, willing to do good, willing to bless and willing to pray? It’s an easy thing to listen to someone, knowing you don’t have to follow through with, or agree with what they are saying, but it is quite another thing if you know the one talking has the ultimate authority, power, position and influence over you! It’s easy to love those who love you and don’t despise you, but quite a different thing to love those who do not love you, and in fact truly despise you! When someone is nice to you and does good things for you, it’s a no brainer to be nice and good back to them, but entirely separate and excruciatingly difficult to be nice to and do good for those who, not only despise you, but literally hate and even have an aversion towards and absolute abhorrence of you! And when you are being blessed by someone, oh how easy it is to reciprocate and return the blessing, but when someone is cursing you, it’s probably not going to be your initial reaction or response to bless them, but according to The LORD’S instruction, it most certainly should be! And finally, we are more than happy to cry out to the LORD on behalf of those we love and adore and who’ve been so accommodating, generous and loving towards us, but The LORD’S specific command here, which is not by any means or stretch of the imagination a mere suggestion, is to pray earnestly for those who’ve, in any way shape, form or fashion, hurt, wounded or harmed you; which includes physical, emotional, mental, or even your reputation and good name! One more thing: we should not ever make excuses, give explanations, rationalizations, justifications, or equivocations, with surrounding or swirling mitigating circumstances, for although The LORD is completely understanding and compassionate, He still is not going to go against His own specific instructions and commands and then come into agreement with you and say; “well, in your case, I’ll make an exception!” Not going to happen, dear brothers, sisters and precious friends. We all must choose, with The LORD’S help, to love, do good to, bless and pray for, even the most heinous and truly difficult people in our lives. Remember the prayer of our LORD uttered from the cross, “Father, forgive them and don’t hold it against them for what they have done to me, as they are unaware of what they have done and are still doing.” Blessings… #YouVersion #choosetobless

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 05/25/15- “Truth Be Told!” (John 5:24)

Premise Question: What is this absolute truth that Jesus told then; who was and is it directed to; why was it given, is it still relevant for today and what divine purpose does it serve?

“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life. (‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭24‬ NLT)

In the fullest and highest degree, I, The LORD Jesus Christ, plainly, with the greatest of accuracy convey to you, that no matter who you are, who you’ve been, or whatever person you may be, this message is to and for anyone and everyone that will listen to My Word of Truth and receive it into their heart, as well as, choose to place their full confidence, with complete trust in Papa God, Who dispatched Me here to earth, will therefore, continue to exist, forever and ever, without end, throughout all of eternity, and also will not be subject to the righteous requirement of Papa God’s law, but will traverse from one place, the place of receiving full recompense and a just reward for their wickedness, which is eternal death, to another place, the place of receiving His peace, joy, righteousness and an eternal life of bliss! (John 5:24 PDCP)

Bottom Line: The absolute truth Jesus was telling then is: He and Papa God, His Father, are equals and that He only does what His Father tells Him to do, and just as The Father, Papa God, can give life to those who’ve died, so too, does He, The Son, have power over death and will give life eternal to all those who will listen, receive and believe in Papa God and His message of truth; that being, that He, Jesus Christ, is the only way, the only truth and the only life and that no one will ever be successful in getting to His Father, Papa God, except and unless they go through Him! In addition to that, this truth also includes the admonition that anyone who refuses to honor The Son, in effect, is also refusing to honor Papa God; so, when one honors The Son, by listening to His message of truth, accepting it and believing in Papa God, who sent Him, then they will receive, as a direct result of their belief, eternal life. This message of truth was and still is directed to anyone and everyone upon the earth, as it was relevant then and still is today; for Jesus declares that He is, He was and He is to come, the same today, as He was yesterday and will be forever; because He and His Word are immutable and shall therefore, never be diminished or return void. The divine purpose it serves, is to set humankind free from the law of sin and certain death and to release them from darkness, by commuting their sure sentence of death, so that they could then walk in the light and receive eternal life. The pure intent and reason it was given, was to bring all glory and honor to Papa God and His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ! Blessings… #YouVersion #truthbetold #passedfromdeathtolife

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 05/13/15- “Attention Everyone! Listen Up!”
(James 1:19-20)

Premise Question: Is there a practical reason, purpose and benefit for us, beyond physiology, (tongue in cheek) that we’ve been given two ears to hear and only one mouth to speak?

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. (‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭19-20‬ NLT)

Listen up! I want you to pay very close attention to what I’m saying to you, my dearly loved kinfolk of the fellowship of The Company of The Redeemed. We must all be fully aware and put on ready alert to respond appropriately to every situation and circumstance that may challenge or confront us, in life. Everyone’s first response should always be, to immediately have a keen listening ear; secondly, we are to have a mouth that will be measured, with a fair amount of serious thought before ever attempting to elucidate; and finally, be extremely deliberate, in exhibiting great patience, by slowing the pace before becoming angry, because in our humanity, our acting out, in anger, will never begin to accomplish any good thing, as it relates to fulfilling God’s righteous purpose for us or anyone else, for that matter!
(James 1:19-20 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Most of us have heard the old adage about the reason and purpose we’ve been given two ears and only one mouth. It’s actually very wise and quite prudent, being excellently good to adopt and put into practice, in our daily lives, as we should always be ready to listen, learn and hold our tongues and thoughts, with contemplation, before we ever begin or attempt to respond with words that may not have been very well thought out and perhaps are coming forth and up out of one’s anger or a knee jerk reaction, rather than calmly waiting and organizing our thoughts and words for a well measured and appropriate response. Papa God’s Word tells us that if we are not quick to listen, and too quick to answer, perhaps because of our anger, before we have all the information necessary to give an appropriate response, then we will be labeled a fool. (Ecclesiastes 7:9, Proverbs 14:29, 29:11) For there are always two sides, or more, to every story or matter, so don’t be too quick to jump to conclusions. (Proverbs 18:17) We should never allow our anger to stew and grow in us, as it will eventually begin to control us, and if we do not confront and address it, by ridding ourselves of it, then the enemy of our souls will be able to establish a foothold in our lives and wreak havoc through the resulting bitterness, anger and malicious hate that will proliferate, as a direct result of not dealing with it, in Papa God’s prescribed manner, in our lives. (Ephesians 4:26-27, 31, Colossians 3:8) Lets all determine to be quick to listen, slow to speak and very slow to become angry. Blessings… #YouVersion #listenupchurch
