love for brother and sister
SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 01/15/15- “Love For Our Fellow Believers, Is Not Optional!”
Premise Question: Have things so radically changed and transitioned, that it is now, today, possible to say, we love Papa God, His Son Jesus Christ and His most comforting, filled with power and joy, Holy Spirit, and, at the same time, not have love for some of our fellow brothers and sisters in The LORD, and in fact may actually have hate in our hearts for them?
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (1 John 4:20 NIV)
When someone, anyone, does’t matter who they are, declares their allegiance and undying love for Papa God, The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, but at the same time, expresses hatred towards a fellow believer, whether it be a brother or sister, in The LORD, they are not to be believed as credible and should be considered liars! Now this may seem a bit harsh to some, but, if one does not have or show love towards their fellow brothers and sisters, in The LORD, whom they can see and interact with on a daily basis, then it is an untenable situation, being completely impossible, to love Papa God, The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, whom they have yet to see! (1 John 4:20 PDCP)
Bottom Line: Here’s the short, quick and concise answer: NO! It is not possible, nor is it even an option, for The LORD clearly delineates that He is the same yesterday, today and forever and that He is not gonna change, period! (Hebrews 13:8) Some may say, “but you don’t understand how difficult this brother or sister has been to deal with, or what damage has occurred, because of their actions and behaviors!” The LORD’s response to that is, “My grace is sufficient.” (2 Corinthians 12:9) There will be times and occasions, that discipline of a fellow brother or sister may be necessary, but it should never be administered as a punishment, nor filled with vile, guile or hate, but should be administered with a great enduring love, with the ultimate goal of reconciling and restoring them back into right relationship and fellowship, with all members of The Company of The Redeemed. (Hebrews 12:5-10, Proverbs 3:12) After all, the “B” in Bible doesn’t stand for “Buffet,” whereby, one is able to select, follow and abide by, only those principles, commands and truths that are without difficulty, easy, being comfortable and tasty to one’s own proclivities and appetites! We must, as fellow believers, take the whole of God’s Holy Writ, not just the parts we like or agree with, but the whole, because, as the full of truth saying goes, “He, The LORD, is either The LORD of all, or not The LORD at all!” Blessings…
