SCRIPT FOR TODAY: Double Entendre (meaning)…(1) A prescription (script) prescribed, by The Great Physician, for us to take each day, for our benefit and (2) A script written, for the purpose of giving direction and guidance to us, for our everyday life, in the way and manner we ought to be conducting our daily lives, given to us, by the Great playwright, in the sky, The Author of all that is good, right, just and holy. SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 07/22- “Love, Do Good, Bless And Pray For The Difficult People In Your Life!” (Luke 6:27-28)

Premise Question: Are we, The Company of The Redeemed, truly willing to listen to what The LORD is trying to tell us, and then, do we show that we’ve accepted what He is saying to us, by actually following, fulfilling and carrying out the specific instructions He has given us, as His stewards, to do?

““But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” (‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:27-28‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

But to those of you who are willing to take to heart what I’m sharing here with you, let it teach and guide you, becoming the motivation for how you live your life: Love those who you’ve become distanced from, those who are no longer friends, but are now your enemies; therefore, you are not wanting to have anything to do with them any more, due to the virulent and perhaps violent animosity that now exists between you and them. Do good to and for those who now hate you, not just assenting in your mind to the ideal, but in your actions and deeds. And while you’re at it, choose to bless, not curse them, by speaking good things over them—things that will bring refreshing and bountiful provision into their lives. And finally, always devote yourself to praying specifically for those who have and presently are mistreating you! (Luke 6:27-28 PDCP)

Bottom Line: So, are we really willing to listen, willing to love, willing to do good, willing to bless and willing to pray? It’s an easy thing to listen to someone, knowing you don’t have to follow through with, or agree with what they are saying, but it is quite another thing if you know the one talking has the ultimate authority, power, position and influence over you!

It’s easy to love those who love you and don’t despise you, but quite a different thing to love those who do not love you, and in fact truly despise you!

When someone is nice to you and does good things for you, it’s a no brainer to be nice and good back to them, but entirely separate and excruciatingly difficult to be nice to and do good for those who, not only despise you, but literally hate and even have an aversion towards and absolute abhorrence of you!

And when you are being blessed by someone, oh how easy it is to reciprocate and return the blessing, but when someone is cursing you, it’s probably not going to be your initial reaction or response to bless them; but according to The LORD’S instruction, it most certainly should be!

And finally, we are more than happy to cry out to the LORD on behalf of those we love and adore and who’ve been so accommodating, generous and loving towards us, but The LORD’S specific command here, which is not by any means or stretch of the imagination a mere suggestion, is to pray earnestly for those who’ve, in any way, shape, form or fashion, hurt, wounded or harmed you; which includes physical, emotional, mental, or even your reputation and good name!

One more thing: we should not ever make excuses, give explanations, rationalizations, justifications, or equivocations, with surrounding or swirling mitigating circumstances. For although The LORD is completely understanding and compassionate, He still is not going to go against His own specific instructions and commands, by then coming into agreement with you and say; “well, in your case, I’ll make an exception!” Not going to happen, dear brothers, sisters and precious friends.

We all must choose, with The LORD’S help, to love, do good to, bless and pray for, even the most heinous and truly difficult people in our lives.

Remember the prayer of our LORD, uttered from the cross—”Father, forgive them and don’t hold it against them for what they have done to me, as they are unaware of what they have done and are still doing.” Blessings…

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: PDCP- 01/20/15- “Love My Enemies? Loan Them Money Without Expectation Of Being Paid Back, And With Compassion? Wow!”

SCRIPT FOR TODAY: 01/20/15- “Love My Enemies? Loan Them Money Without Expectation Of Being Paid Back, And With Compassion? Wow!” (Luke 6:35-36)

Premise Question: Is the reward from Heaven, the one that’s given to those who do what The LORD requests, not just suggests, of them to do, when considering how to deal with and treat their enemies, enough, and worth the trouble, testing, trials and tumult, that they may have to endure and go through, when choosing to show love and compassion, in spite of all the difficulties, toward their enemies?

“Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate. (‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭35-36‬ NLT)

You have enemies? Everyone does! They may be individuals you’ve been close to in the past, but because of entanglements, misunderstandings, unfulfilled expectations, hurtful words, actions or behaviors, that has now resulted in estrangement, from one another, your fault, their fault, somebody else’s fault, does it really matter? No, not a bit, when it comes to how The LORD desires for us to treat our enemies. Treat them with kindness and humility. Giving to them when they are in need. Doing kind acts of generosity, without any expectation of getting anything in return; for when you choose, and are able to do this, with The LORD’S enabling, of course, you qualify yourself for a reward and recognition from Heaven that is beyond your imagination and comprehension; And, you will be showing everyone, that you are acting just like a child of The Sovereign LORD God Almighty, who, by the way, is continuously showing His gracious favor and kindness to those who are forever ungrateful and utterly incorrigible. You, a member in good standing of The Company of The Redeemed, must take your lead from Papa God, which is, to be as compassionate as He is, towards others, even your enemies. (Luke 6:35-36 PDCP)

Bottom Line: Yes! The reward from Heaven is more than enough and worth every difficult person and difficulty we may encounter or have to endure; for all of Papa God’s promises are faithful and true! If we do what He has asked us to do, then He will do exactly as He says, and what He promises, He will do! And that, for our ultimate good and benefit! He will reward, He will restore, He will redeem, He will renew, He will refresh, He will reclaim, He will reconcile, He will regenerate, He will reveal, He will rejoice and sing over us, for we are His children, the children of The Most High! Blessings…
